Set in Ancient Greece and inspired by its rich mythology, the game places players in the role of Kratos, a Spartan warrior under the command of the Olympian Gods. Chains of Olympus serves as the second chapter in the God of War saga, unfolding events that occur ten years before the original game. As players navigate through epic levels, they will face formidable enemies and bosses, solve challenging puzzles, and engage in quick-time events. The gameplay retains the iconic features of its predecessors while incorporating new elements tailored for the PSP, including revamped controls that utilize the analog stick and shoulder buttons for dodging.

Kratos wields the legendary Blades of Chaos, along with new weapons and spells such as the Sun Shield, Efreet, and Light of Dawn. Collect red orbs to enhance weapons and abilities, Gorgon Eyes to boost health, and Phoenix Feathers to increase magic power.

The story starts with Kratos defending the city of Attica from the Persian army. But as Morpheus’ dark influence spreads, the Spartan warrior must summon all his might to protect the world from total annihilation.
