The Game Boy Color (GBC) is a portable gaming console by Nintendo, released on October 21, 1998, in Japan and worldwide in November. A successor to the Game Boy, it features a color screen (no backlight), a custom 8-bit processor, and was discontinued in 2003 after the Game Boy Advance SP release.
