The Game Boy Advance (GBA) is a 32-bit handheld console developed and marketed by Nintendo as the successor to the Game Boy Color. It launched in 2001, with worldwide sales reaching 81.51 million by June 2010. Its successor, the Nintendo DS, released in 2004, is backward compatible with GBA games.
