TurboGrafx (NEC)
The PC Engine, released in Japan on October 30, 1987, by NEC and Hudson Soft, was launched in the U.S. as TurboGrafx-16 in 1989. It competed with Nintendo’s Family Computer, SEGA Genesis, and later the SNES. A limited PAL version was released in Europe in 1990, and it was discontinued in 1994.
